Chile, the miners and their moods
Chile, its miners and their moods
from the look Ontological
always
we are in a mood. We have and we will possess them. Our movements of life are related to these moods.
Under Ontological Coaching, our actions are moved to the state of mind in which we live. They further note that not choose, we are simply there.
And although we did not choose or control our moods, we can-under the gaze of Coaching-go editing them with our actions and finding a chance to do otherwise.
Ontological Coaching speaks of four state mood: resentment, resignation, peace and ambition.
What the difference? What sets them apart? How do I know what I am?
There are two variables that mark these states: the factual and what is possible, on one hand, and acceptance and rejection, on the other. Detail what is seen in the image.
factual
What concerns these facts I can not change.
The possibility refers to those actions that I can do.
And then, as human beings can move in this space to accept or reject, both the facts and possibilities.
to know and from the look of Ontological Coaching, I am in Resentment , when rejecting the factual. That is, when I do not accept what is happening and I can not change.
I am in PAZ, when he accepted the factual. This happens when I fight with what is happening and I can not change.
'm in RESIGNATION when possible rejection. When I can not accept or look at the possibilities that exist and could be around me.
And I move from the Ambition accept when possible. When I take the chance in my hands and from there actions and I move.
The case of Chile and Mining
Seeing the case of Chile the 33 miners who spent 69 days trapped in the mine of San Jose and they were rescued one by one, in a joint effort, I thought this quadrant of moods. I figured that both the protagonists of this story, as his family and authorities to the case, surely have gone through these feelings during the duration history.
The August 5, 2010, as indicated by reports from the media, 33 miners were trapped in their workplace after a collapse. At first, neither they nor family members nor the authorities know if the bailout could be so successful. Outside, they did not know if the miners were alive or not.
What could be the mood of the time? Perhaps the Resentment . To reject or not accept a factual impossible to change fact. How to modify the mine collapse? How do I change the fact that these 33 men were trapped 700 meters underground?
But What if I stay installed on Resentment? What if I stopped in not accepting what can not be changed? From this mood is hard to trigger actions that can make them feel better. If I install hopelessness can start there, in the case of Chile, both for those who were confined to those who were outside, relatives and authorities.
The first Chilean government's message was "We will do everything humanly possible to rescue the survivors." What mood can be found behind this phrase? AMBITION
.
one hand, indicates that Chilean President will "humanly possible" from the language it speaks of power from the possibility, from what can be. And second, refers to "rescue the survivors." This may be a hint of PEACE (between the lines) because at the time of issuing this message, still did not know in what state of health and if the miners were alive everyone. In La Paz we accept that I can not change, for example, could have been the fact that some of the workers were injured or one had died in the collapse.
The Resignation could be present in a subdued, when on 12 August (one week after the accident), the Minister of Mines says that there is little chance of finding the miners alive. Despite the possibilities (different forms of rescue), the actions could have been paralyzed by the lack of news of the 33 men trapped underground.
However, AMBITION appears to be installed from the time when authorities received a written message that said "We're fine, 33, in the shelter. " Ambition both for the miners, and for the relatives and the authorities in charge of the case.
From that time until the October 12, 2010, late at night when the Phoenix 2 began to fall to rescue the 33 miners most famous and popular of the moment, would AMBITION mood that allowed everyone involved to move resources, power and generate movements that ended in a full day of excitement, tears, hugs and success.
AMBITION That translates into action and see the possibilities around them to achieve a goal or a goal.
To be in the AMBITION, I need to look at these possibilities, see what can be done yes, and even search for other eyes to help me look (as did the Chilean government to seek help other countries like Switzerland and the United States).
To be on the AMBITION need a goal, in this case was very clear: to rescue the 33 miners, bringing them back to earth.
And this same state of mind was what had to be present in the miners inside the shelter where they were. The AMBITION is the of mind that allowed them to stay healthy, active, moving despite the small space. This same state of mind helped to organize, have a routine and take advantage of potential resources and their own resources. Organized three groups, placed them names, were leaders. Each man was recognized for its qualities (one of the miners was nicknamed "the doctor" because he knew more about first aid, for example)
Whenever I saw out the Phoenix 2 and a new mining appeared healthy and full of emotion, hugging their relatives and the authorities to wait at all during the nearly 24-hour-long rescue, thinking that word and how powerful it may be: AMBITION. And I said, this is the mood that mobilized the entire country in order to achieve this feat. It is this mood which could move those involved in the case for action from the possibilities and reach the goal.
When he arrived the night of 13 October and the President of Chile thanked everyone and said it was the time for rest, closed this chapter in Chilean history. And I think there is a great lesson in it.
Latest questions you should ask in this paper are rather thoughtful: What mood are you? "What can you identify? Would you be there? Where do you want to move? What do you gain and what you lose if you stay in the state where you are? The time is NOW. And sure you can.
