The Euler line is the line orthocenter containing the centroid and the circumcenter of a triangle, is named in honor of the Swiss mathematician Leonard Euler
are the lines through the vertices of the triangle and the midpoint of the respective opposite each vertex, the three medians coincide at a point called the centroid
. The centroid has the property that its distance from the vertex is twice the distance to the opposite side. Mediatrices:
are lines perpendicular to the sides of the triangle passing through the respective midpoint on each side, the bisectors coincide in circumcenter, the circumcenter is the center of the circumcircle in the triangle, circle whose radius distance from the circumcenter to a vertex.
Heights:
are lines perpendicular to each side of the triangle or the extension and pass through the correspondingly opposite corner. Agree Heights orthocenter point may be located inside the triangle if it is an acute triangle, in the case of a right triangle corresponds to one of the corners and outside the triangle if it is obtuse. Below is a construction of the Euler line made in GeoGebra.
