Workshop "Writing, feel and see" - February 19, 2011

First year experiential workshop
February 19, 2011

"Writing, feel and see"
designing projects, goals and objectives

Sometimes the issue is not just knowing what I do. Sometimes I need to broaden my vision and recognize what drives me or maybe it prevents me from doing that I want.

In this workshop we will work on three levels:

First : Discourse. Let's write together our goals and objectives. A review from the floor.

Second: the feelings and imagination. Let's see why I want to reach and confront me with what I feel to it.

Third watch. Aided by the work of Constellations, we will explore and look at these goals, see what you have to show them to us.

the end, the idea is that not only bring you a clear goal, but also can look to the senses and the soul that target and connect with that possibility.

"What truly matters in life are not the targets we set, but the paths we take to achieve them."
Percy B Shelley

Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry - Book

After working long, 434 lines of code latex, medical and other inconvenient obstacles overcome, V released version 0.0.1 of the book of trigonometry and analytic geometry created with the philosophy of Free Software released under Creative Commons license.

How do you apply the philosophy of SL in this case?
is simple, an idea, knowledge can be better if many people contribute more knowledge, ideas and work, then create a book that is built on the philosophy of SL means that starts with a small seed (like today I am posting) and is expected to interest more people involved in the issue (or not involved but also for commercial work) to take the trouble to read and contribute from the spelling and grammar are valuable and that recognize including these people in the list of authors (the ideal is that the author does not appear on the first page of the book as before, but have dedicated pages to list them all).

Those interested in being co-authors of this book may include exercises, examples, improve writing, improve the content or add details that they think are needed, the ideal is a book that is built by many and it becomes therefore in a more efficient tool than their proprietary format.

can participate in two main ways:

  1. Downloading the book, read and send your comments, suggestions and contributions to email piratax007@esdebian.org
  2. sending a code request to piratax007@esdebian.org Latex thus get a copy that help you study how the text has been set up and start working on their contributions, the only commitment that will be sent a copy of their modifications to the same email and abide by the terms of the Creative Commons license.
The book version V 0.0.1 can be downloaded from here .

Welcome all!

Creative Commons V0.0.1 Installing GeoGebra - Video

In addition to the book begin to be released this weekend under a creative commons license, there are some constructions to perform in GeoGebra.

GeoGebra is a software developed at the University of Salzburg and released under the GPL, intended for the study of geometry and study their algebraic properties ( Geo metry and Gebra ). GeoGebra is developed in Java making it completely platform and is compatible with OpenJDK virtual machine, is in the official repositories of GNU / Linux Debian. GeoGebra

combines the power of computer algebra system with the versatility of a geometry processor, achieving results well above those achieved with other similar applications.

The video is presented below shows how to make a quick install GeoGebra to have the application completely available even offline.

Abc Fire Extinguisher Dangerous?

Updating ... What does that mean? For this 2011

I'm not the same as yesterday. I'm not the same tomorrow. Today I am who I am today. It is a play on words. If you look carefully my past, I can see I've changed my tastes, beliefs, manners, have also changed physically safe. I'm not the same.

This idea seems obvious, it can become a problem for me unless I upgrade in the changes I'm taking every day.

will place an example simple and exaggerated, just to illustrate what I mean in this post.

10 years ago a woman wore a size 4. At present, using size 8 (two sizes bigger than 10 years ago) going to a store (at present) and ask for a size 4 pants. When the tester is obviously not fit. The annoying woman leaves the store. What happened? Not updated with herself, she had not heard (or had not wanted to find out) the change that has lived his body in this period. Went shopping with an "old idea" in his mind, not the present reality. What are the results of this lack of update? That can not find what I want, not I have, that does not help, no longer about me.

These changes apply to different aspects of my life. Friendships, jobs, relationships, tastes, beliefs, just to name a few.

As I wrote earlier, this failure to update myself, can cause problems. How? If not who I am today, how would I go out to achieve my goals? How do I properly I need? What I can offer what I have, if not do I have?
is in this point, which involved the call UPDATE.

The update of me or my person is to catch up with me. Know who I am today. What I like and what moves me. What I feel, what I think about a certain topic. On my needs (now), my beliefs. Upgrading also allows me to change mindsets.
How I can do this update?

can be as deep or shallow as I want. It can be simple or complicated. The rules puts everyone.
Personally, I recommend going from the simple to the core. Some examples:
Go to an ice cream parlor and update my favorite ice cream flavor. Chocolate remains or changed? Listening to it was my favorite singer years ago and see if I feel the same now for him and his music. Watch a movie that struck me some time and measure the impact on the present.

I can also ask in my day to day, what I think about this issue or the other. How I feel about this experience I am living. The important element is to investigate me, how I'm still at this moment, how I feel at this time and not stay stuck in the past, someone that I ever was.

In this way, I can proudly say "I know who I am" (at least here and now)

Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry - Creative Commons

After a long time and like to work this week will be released the first book's contents Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry, to be released under Creative Commons license and which arises from personal experience in teaching in this area for 5 consecutive years, is an academic material that has been constructed to the satisfaction of the results provided and that contains elements that are considered essential to develop a satisfactory command in trigonometry and the study of conics not rotated, material that also serves as a complement to my first book published in Wikibook format, this dedicated to the study of conical rotated.

As an introduction to the first chapter to be published, leave this little animation that I made in Blender, which shows the intersections between the cone and plane conics generated.

In addition to the contents of the book will be published in GeoGebra construction guides and video tutorials on buildings.

Book Project Euler, Problem 28

The Euler Project Problem 28 proposed finding the sum of entries of the diagonals of a spiral center built in one (1) clockwise until you have a 1001X1001 size.

7X7 Spiral
An analysis of each of the diagonal terms of organizing low to high regardless of their position within the respective diagonal let us see what following:

Starting
main Diagonal
one (1), each new term corresponds to the sum above a certain value, that value has the property to increase by four each time the index of the term is even, and for the second term is added to 4, which is maintained for the third, but in the fourth term is added to 8, on can use this reasoning to find any term of the main diagonal.

In the secondary diagonal must
secondary
Diagonal
also started one, but this time, each new term corresponding to the previous by adding two more than in the previous table clearly seen which is the reasoning that allows you to find any term of the secondary diagonal.

this analysis, the rest is a couple of programming cycles that include resources for the diagonal of a spiral 1001X1001 (each diagonal will have 1001 entries) and leads to the solution of the Euler Project Problem 28.

Welcome Message Example

Happy New Year today as it has been more than 15 days of this 2011.

From this blog, I wish all who pass by this place the best in the world. Although it seems a cliche, really my wishes are that we are a little better, so I work work.

When I go to work, I do it passionately. And happy land out of each session of each workshop, every experience, because growth does not stop, thank God and thanks to each of the people I meet.

I must confess I have not armed the calendar of activities for these months. Soon I will be reporting on the activities group we're going to organize. Even, I'm open to any suggestions or requests you may have.

From February to March 2011 , we will start some groups, including:
* Family Constellation Training . Estimated to be 12 sessions and we will be working for six months. This time with the support and endorsement of my members and friends of Dhakini (personal growth company located in Bogotá, Colombia)

* The Monitoring Group Family Constellation cases . For alumni and those who have already formed Constellation. Work for six months, also supported by Dhakini (personal growth company located in Bogotá, Colombia)
* Seminar "Dreams are dreams" . The therapeutic work with dreams. For participants to learn to work and watch their dreams. 8 sessions (two months)
* Seminar "Self-handling Psychologically. " Therapeutic work to move from disagreement to agreement within the interior. Working with the technique developed by the Argentine Norberto Levy. 8 sessions (two months)

* Seminar "Gestalt for life". Understanding and familiar with Gestalt psychotherapy to apply to every day. Learning to be a little better. 12 sessions (three months)

These, Broadly speaking, are the courses that we will be opening during the first quarter of 2011.

Any information, stay to the order by this means. Or my personal email: raizaramirez@gmail.com

See you soon!

Project Euler, Problem 11 Scripts

All are dedicated to the latest posts Project Euler is a very interesting challenge that I have devoted much of my free time getting to learn more about programming using matlab and programming in general, as well as some mathematical concepts that if he had studied the "underserved" .

The problem 11 is very interesting because it poses a puzzle to solve in a 20x20 array, looking for the best product generated by four adjacent entries.

01 70 54 71 83 51 54 69 16 92 33 48 61 43 52 01 89 19 67 48

Thus for example the diagonal turned out in red is formed four adjacent entries, and its product is 1788696 (which is not the largest), but also four consecutive entries are (first row) August 2, 1922 February 22, 1997 97 or 38 and (in the last column from bottom to top) 48 54 16 36 or 54 16 36 69, but so are (in a secondary diagonal) 52 49 99 97, therefore it is necessary to know all these quartets (in rows, columns, diagonals major and minor) which is what produces the greatest product.

I will not quote the whole script code that it generates to solve it but if the main functions that recurred.

M (I, (ik, jk));% Extracts of the matrix M, the I-th row, the elements of ik to jk.

M ((ik, jk), J);% Extracts of the matrix M, the J-th column, the elements of ik to jk.

diag (M ([f1 f2 f3 f4], [c1 c2 c3 c4]))% Extras main diagonal of the submatrix of order 4, formed by the intersection of f1 to f4 rows with columns c1 to c4.

diag (rot90 ( M ([f1 f2 f3 f4], [c1 c2 c3 c4]) ))% extracts the secondary diagonal submatrix of order 4, formed by the intersection of rows f1 to f4 with columns c1 to c4.

With this and some more code is able to determine what the greatest product of four adjacent entries in the 20x20 matrix we propose.
